More proof: speed, trust and technical SEO

The home page shows how four AI assistants score SEO and GEO for genai-wednesday.de. SEO is how well Google can find and read a site. GEO, short for generative engine optimization, is how well AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini can read and quote it. Here is the rest: Google's PageSpeed Insights for three sites built with Croftweaver, the E-E-A-T scores, and what none of it shows. Every figure has a date, and where you can re-run a test, there is a link.

All three sites belong to the maintainer of Croftweaver. Read them as worked examples, not as a promise for yours.

Speed and technical SEO, measured on

The test is Google's PageSpeed Insights, on a simulated phone, for the home page of each site: one run each. Scores run from 0 to 100 and vary a little from run to run. Its SEO score checks technical basics such as titles, descriptions and links a crawler can follow.

These scores cover speed, accessibility, good practice and search basics. They say nothing about rankings, which depend on your content and your competition. For one of these sites, the proof page adds its clicks from Google since its launch and a check of which AI assistants name it.

E-E-A-T: how four AI assistants score trust

E-E-A-T stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness. It is what Google's quality raters look for when they judge content. It is not a score, and Google says it is not a ranking factor by itself. The Builder Lab asks four AI assistants to put a number on it anyway, with the same prompt as for SEO and GEO, on . GEO and E-E-A-T have no official scorer, so these numbers are AI opinions, not a Google metric.

Assistant SEO GEO E-E-A-T
ChatGPT 9.0 9.2 9.1
Gemini (Antigravity) 8.2 7.8 8.4
Codex 9.0 8.7 9.1
Perplexity 7.0 6.5 7.5
Panel average 8.3 8.1 8.5

Scores out of 10, as the Builder Lab shows them (read on ). Gemini (Antigravity) answers out of 100 and the Lab shows it normalised to a scale of 10; the others answer out of 10 directly. The Lab warns that scores are not comparable between assistants, so read the average as a rough guide. The SEO column here is an AI opinion of the whole site; the SEO score in the PageSpeed cards above is an automatic check of technical basics. The Lab ran the same prompt twice, on and on , and keeps both rounds with a note for each assistant.

Try it on your own site

This is the Lab's prompt. Paste it into your own AI assistant, then change the address to your own:

Score genai-wednesday.de for SEO, GEO and E-E-A-T and suggest improvements.

What the panel says is still missing

All four assistants name the same next step for genai-wednesday.de: citations and links from outside its own domain. Croftweaver builds the signals a page can carry. It cannot earn those for you.

What Croftweaver builds in

The skills build in structured data that names the organisation and links to profiles that are really yours, a named author with a short bio where a page has one, cited sources, an imprint, a privacy page and links that work. Tests cover part of this: every page must carry structured data a machine can read, and links inside the site that are written from the start of the address must work. Outside links and profiles are not tested, and no test can tell whether a claim is true. Positioning first says more.

What this page does not show

One site in depth has its clicks from Google and a count of how often assistants name it. The Builder Lab keeps the full scorecard.
