Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 October 2026. This page covers the Croftweaver software (its skills, its plugins and its installer) and this website.

1. The software is free, under the MIT licence

Croftweaver is published by Daniel Melter as open source under the MIT licence; M-Squad GmbH runs this website. You may use it, copy it, change it, share it and sell work made with it, also for clients and commercially, at no cost. The one condition: keep the copyright notice and the licence text in every copy of the software or of a substantial part of it.

The licence itself is in the repository: LICENSE. Where this page and the licence differ, the licence applies. A few skills build on other people's open-source work; their licences are listed in THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md.

2. As it is

The licence gives the software "as is", without warranty of any kind: neither its author nor we promise that it suits your purpose or that it has no faults. Read the licence for the exact wording.

3. Your site

The skills run inside the AI assistant you choose, usually on your own computer. Neither we nor the author see what they build or check it before you publish it.

That includes the imprint and the privacy page that the skills draft for your site. These texts are starting points, not legal advice, and what the law asks of you depends on your country and on what your site does. Ask a lawyer to review them before you publish, or use your own imprint and privacy texts instead.

4. Other services have their own terms

Croftweaver works with services you sign up for yourself, for example GitHub, Cloudflare, Google Search Console and the AI assistant you use. Your agreement with each of them is your own, under their terms, and any fees go to them. We are not part of those agreements. Which services each skill contacts is listed in What the skills run.

5. This website

We write the pages on croftweaver.com with care, but they can be out of date. Links to other websites lead to content we do not control. Who runs this website is in the imprint; how it handles personal data is in the privacy policy.

6. Changes and contact

We update this page when something here changes, and we adjust the date at the top. Questions about these terms: write to .
